How to choose a PMP question bank for the 2026 exam.
Six checks that separate real 2026 prep from a relabeled 2021 bank. They take about ten minutes, they work on any vendor including us, and most of the market fails the first two.
1. Ask what outline it was written for
The exam changed on July 9, 2026: new domains at 33 / 41 / 26, 26 new tasks, new question styles.
- A bank assembled before that date is 2021 practice unless it was rebuilt.
- "Updated for 2026" in a headline is just a claim. The next check makes them prove it.
2. Ask for the per-task coverage map
If a bank really maps to the 2026 outline, the seller can show you questions-per-task for all 26 tasks.
- If they can't, the mapping doesn't exist.
- We publish ours, thin spots marked and all, at /coverage/: 963 questions, every one tagged to a task.
- Hold anyone else to the same standard.
3. Read one full explanation before you pay
You learn from the options you almost picked, and a bare "B is correct because..." teaches half the question.
- The bar: every option explained, the right one and each wrong one.
- Our free 25-question taster shows exactly that format with no signup.
- It's also how you check our work before spending anything.
4. Check the mock against the real clock
The 2026 sitting is 180 questions in 240 minutes with case-study sets and the new item formats.
- A mock that runs a different length, a different pace, or a different domain mix is training you for a different exam.
- Ours builds 180 unique questions on a 240-minute clock at the published 33 / 41 / 26 weights, with multi-part case studies included.
5. Read the access terms like a contract
Four things to find in writing before checkout:
- What one payment covers and for how long.
- Whether it auto-renews.
- How many devices.
- The refund policy.
sprintBANK's terms: $79.99 once for six months, no subscription and no auto-renewal, up to 3 devices, works offline with a once-every-14-days online key check, 14-day good-faith refund, all restated at /legal/.
6. Don't trust a flattering readiness score
Any bank can print a big green number. The question is whether it ever tells you you're not ready. Ours stays capped until full-length mocks prove it under exam conditions. Four signals:
- Recent accuracy: 45%.
- Bank coverage: 25%.
- Domain balance at exam weights: 20%.
- Mock results: 10%.
There's a guarantee behind it: reach 85, sit within 30 days, and if you don't pass, your six months become twelve, free (terms).
These checks apply to every vendor, including PMI's own prep products and including sprintBANK. If a seller answers all six in writing, buy with confidence, whoever they are.
